London 2012 Learning Legacy Papers published
The London 2012 Sustainability team, supported by Earth to Ocean, has worked hard to gather as much reliable data as possible and report this for future Games, such as Rio 2016 and other major events. The series of reports has been published on the Legacy Learning website (see link). There are over 70 papers covering topics from energy and waste to the community projects that were part of the Sustainability programme. Earth to Ocean played a major part in the reporting process and were involved in the build, operation and deconstruction of the Olympic and Paralympic venues. The learning legacy papers include papers authored by Kate and Susie, covering subjects such as energy management within venues, habitat protection during the Games, and the use of materials within the temporary venues.
