E2O work with new half marathon to reduce environmental impacts
The John Austin Half is a new half marathon taking place on Sunday 13th March in Brockenhurst in the New Forest, in aid of the Oakhaven Hospice. Kate Chapman, from Earth to Ocean, is working with the event organisers to manage and reduce the environmental impacts of the event. Kate has been looking at the impacts of the event in terms of waste, suppliers, transport and physical impacts on the sensitive habitat of the New Forest and is working closely with the event suppliers, supporters, local authority and Forestry Commission to help this new event leave a lighter footprint.
RYA publish Go Green with E2O's Susie Tomson as technical editor
The Royal Yachting Association have recently published Go Green, a young persons guide the the Blue Planet. E2O Director, Susie Tomson was the inspiration behind the book and the book's technical editor which forms part of the RYA's series of children's books written by Claudia Myatt the book has received excellent reviews and is available on the RYA website.
